A cloudburst on Tuesday triggered a deluge in Uttarakhand’s Kheer Ganga that is believed to have killed at least four people.
Uttarkashi DM Prashant Arya said that huge amount of water came at tandem at Kheer Ganga due to a cloudburst. He said that while the exact situation is not yet clear, he said that he has been informed that there have been four deaths.
Arya further said that teams of the Public Works Department (PWD), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been rushed to the area.
The deluge that came down from the hills and struck Kheer Ganga was recorded on the camera. Watch the video below.

Separately, the Central Command of the Indian Army said in a statement that personnel have reached the affected site to assess the situation and undertake rescue operations.
Explaining the situation, the Central Command said that a massive mudslide struck the Dharali village in the Kheer Gad area near Harsil, triggering sudden flow of debris and water through the settlement.
