The army is currently exploring ways to enhance the retention of Agniveers based on their training, experience and expertise following the success of Operation Sindoor
The Indian army is reviewing the Agnipath scheme as the performance of Agniveers during Operation Sindoor has been “excellent”. The Indian Armed Forces have been periodically conducting assessments of the scheme under which soldiers, airmen and sailors are recruited for a period of four years.
According to a report by The Indian Express, the army is currently exploring ways to enhance the retention of Agniveers based on their training, experience and expertise following the success of Operation Sindoor.
