“Becoming an actor was also his late grandmother’s dream – a wish he feels proud to have fulfilled,” he shared.
While Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday starrer Saiyaara has turned out to be a monstrous blockbuster at the box office, ever since its release, there have been reports that it is a copy of the Korean movie A Moment To Remember. However, the writer of the movie Sankalp Sadanah dismissed the news and clarified that it is not a copy of any movie.
“Honestly, so much has already been said about this. All I can say is—the Korean film is out there, and so is Saiyaara. Watch both and judge for yourself. You’ll be able to tell whether it’s inspired, a copy, or an original,” Sankalp said while talking to Komal Nahta.
And now, Panday, while talking to The Hollywood Reporter, revealed his real name. Panday said, “I think it goes back to my grandmother; that was the person close to me whom I lost. Yash Raj Films was a dream for me, it was the cinema I grew up with, the cinema my grandmother dreamed I would be a part of.”
Panday added, “She used to call me ‘Raj’ all the time. My sister’s Hindu name is Chandni, based on the film Chandni, and my Hindu name is Yash; we’re big filmy Yash Raj [Films] lovers.”
“Becoming an actor was also his late grandmother’s dream – a wish he feels proud to have fulfilled,” he shared.
And now, the team, that reportedly celebrated the film’s success in Singapore, celebrated it all over again in Mumbai. The ‘Saiyaara’ actor gave a kiss on his actress’ forehead as they celebrated the success of their film. Also in attendance was the captain of the ship Mohit Suri.
