In a shocking turn of events, Alia Bhatt’s former personal assistant Vedika Prakash Shetty has been arrested for siphoning funds worth Rs 77 lacs from her accounts. She was taken into custody by Juhu Police. More details about the case are awaited.

Shetty has been accused of siphoning of funds from Alia’s personal account and the account of her production house Eternal Sunshine, which produced the 2022 film Darlings on Netflix.

Vedika was handling the actress’ professional assignments and other dealings. She was also handling the actor’s personal and business dealings, including overseeing the operations of her production house.

A source told Hindustan Times, “A team of Mumbai Police tracked Vedika down to Bengaluru, from where she was arrested. The police are now scrutinising her bank accounts and financial records to get the full picture. Alia or her team has not issued a statement on the matter so far.”
