Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently on cloud nine after bagging his first National Award for Jawan, took a long break after his 2018 film Zero turned out to be a box office disappointment. In the movie, which also featured Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, SRK played a dwarf.

In 2023, SRK made a grand comeback with Pathaan, Dunki and Jawan. The latter also made him bag his first National Award. Now, a dwarf actor Lilliput, who featured in films like Aunty No 1, Style and Bunty Aur Babli among others, slammed Shah Rukh Khan for his acting in Zero.

He shared that dwarf people’s hand movements, emotions, and thoughts are normal, and the only difference in them is their physical appearance.

“So how will you act that out? You will make him look smaller technically. We know you are good-looking and cute, so our impression of what you are ends there. We are not looking at a dwarf, we are looking at a hero who has been made to look like a dwarf via visual effects. And what is your script trying to say?” Lilliput said while talking with Red FM Podcasts.

He accused SRK for copying Kamal Haasan’s act in Appu Raja (Apoorva Sagodharargal) and said, “You look at Appu Raja’s intelligence. Kamal Haasan remained original and also picked out the details of the physicality of a dwarf person. Dwarfs are a little distorted, their fingers are smaller, a little thicker, arms, face, and feet are different, so when you are not able to leave an impact, then why are you making it? And how could you think that you would leave an impact? Kamal ji ki aap copy kar rahe ho. Unke acting ki charno ki dhool bhi nahi ho aap (You are copying Kamal ji. And you are not even equal to the dirt on his feet).”

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero also starred Sheeba Chadha and Tigmanshu Dhulia in prominent roles.
