Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid, has once grabbed headlines for her latest controversial comment in an interview, where she said that she is ‘proud of women who monetise their sexuality’.
“I think women who can monetise their sexuality are insane. Good for you, girlypops, I am proud of y’all,” Mukhija said while talking on Zoom. “If men are stupid enough to see it, pay for it, then do it. I love it! They are the views,” she added.

This video garnered severe backlash, with social media users slamming Apoorva for her mindset. “Basically, she’s okay with her being sexualised for money,” commented one netizen. “Just a pure example of being characterless,” wrote another.“Biggest hypocrites in our country are the so-called social media influencers. Har baat par pe bakwas karva lo bas,” read another comment.
Mukhija earlier faced flak online after social media users took objection to a vulgar comment she made on India’s Got Latent. Amid severe backlash, several cases have been filed against Allahbadia, Raina, and Mukhija, as well as YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and stand-up comedian Jaspreet Singh – the other two panellists on the episode of India’s Got Latent.
While Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, has apologised for his comments that created a storm on social media, others are yet to address the controversy. Mukhija, however, reportedly referred to the row by posting a screenshot of a private chat with a friend, writing, “Me and [friend]’s last two brain cells trying to come up with a solve for the new problem that I created.”
Mukhija featured in Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s
_Nadaaniyan_, which streamed on Netflix and a mini web-series, Baat Pakki, which also starred Shray Rai Tiwari, Gunnit Cour, Ishika Jaiwani
