Late businessman’s mother calls his demise ‘suspicious’, says ‘Was forced to sign documents and…’ – Firstpost

Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and businessman Sunjay Kapoor passed away in England while playing Polo last month due to a heart attack at the age of 53 in England.

Dr Farah Husain, a senior anaesthesiologist and intensivist in New Delhi shared that a bee sting can be life-threatening. And now, the late businessman’s mother has made some shocking revelations and called his demise suspicous.

She reportedly wrote- “On June 12, my son Mr. Sunjay Kapur tragically passed away under highly suspicious and unexplained circumstances in the United Kingdom. Despite all attempts, I am not able to receive answers about my son’s death.”

Kapur’s mother added, “Despite me seeking information, I have been unable to receive any relevant answers and documents explaining the incident and have been confined to the knowledge and version set out by the media. While we’re in mourning, some people trying to usurp family legacy.”

“I have been left to the mercy of a select few for survival. All this, in less than a month of my only son passing,” she said.

Forced to sign documents?

“During the aforesaid period of grieving, I was approached multiple times and compelled to sign various documents without explanation or even having time to read and understand the same. Despite being under immense mental and emotional distress, I was coerced into signing such documents behind locked doors and though I’ve requested repeatedly, the contents of such documents have never been revealed to me,” she added, according to a report in News18.

The news of Sunjay Kapoor’s demise was confirmed by Suhel Seth on X as he wrote, “Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur… a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and his colleagues.”

At the time of his death, he was married to entrepreneur and former model Priya Sachdev. He is survived by his wife Priya, and three children.
