Amid the legal battle and chaos, the late businessman’s sister
Mandhira Kapur has spoken to ANI and sided by Karisma Kapoor and her children. Mandhira was quoted saying, “I’m very happy about it because finally the family will know something and have some knowledge about anything really. I believe in the justice system in India, so I’m hoping it will bring more clarity, more visibility and transparency to everything.”
She added, “I stand by them because I do not think that if anyone knows the relationship they have had with their father and for their father not to have them a part of the will, it just doesn’t add up. Doesn’t make sense. So I stand by them.”
Mandhira Kapur on their mother
The businessman’s sister has revealed, “My mother told me. She was in a grieving space. She did not know what was going on. I spoke to her, she told me, ‘I have signed something.”
She added, “I did what I was told. I don’t know what I have signed’. She was very upset. Since then, we have been trying to find out what my mother signed. We are not getting any answers.”
Mandhira Kapur alleges family members coerced their mother Rani Kapur into signing documents regarding Sunjay Kapur’s empire.
Recently, Rani and Karisma claimed that the family trust (RK Family Trust) – named after Rani Kapur – and his personal assets have been “usurped” by Priya Kapur.
The actress’ kids, Samaira (20) and Kiaan (15), have claimed through a suit that the will which surfaced after their father’s death was allegedly forged by their stepmother, Priya.
