The actress said, “When you are young and ambitious, and a married man with kids hits on you, it’s you who are falling for someone in a relationship.”
Kangana Ranaut began her Bollywood career in the year 2006 with Anurag Basu’s Gangster. She became one of the finest actors of the industry but she forayed into politics and last year, said she would quit acting if she won the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Ranaut was quoted saying, “The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment. It is a glossy world like a fake bubble which is to attract the audience.”
And now, in an interview with Hauterrfly, the actress broke her silence on allegations that she has dated married men. Ranaut was linked with Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Pancholi, but both the actors denied the claims.
The actress said, “When you are young and ambitious, and a married man with kids hits on you, it’s you who are falling for someone in a relationship.”
She added, “It’s not the man’s fault. People always find a way to blame the women in the situation. Look at the rape victims who get blamed for wearing certain types of clothes or being out late at night. All these are markers of the wrong mentality.”
Kangana Ranaut on her hard times
It was a very difficult and very harsh time. I was physically abused. I don’t have to go into details. I felt trapped. You feel people might help you. But there are no free lunches. But when you are going, you fall for it. This man, who was my father’s age, hit me hard on my head when I was 17. I started bleeding. I took out my sandal and hit his head hard, and he started to bleed too. I lodged an FIR against the man.
Kangana Ranaut, who made her debut in 2006 with Gangster, went on to give several memorable films and bagged awards for her portrayals in Queen, Fashion, Manikarnika, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and others.
