There is a lot of conversation going on around work-life balance. Firstpost spoke to several actors and even filmmaker Anurag Basu on it.
What Basu said was very touching and sensible. “I also don’t like long hours shift at work. My actors never complain about long hours or stress at work. It’s a film, I never give my actors a chance to complain on this.”
From Fatima Sana Sheikh to Konkona Sen Sharma, everybody enjoyed working with Anurag Basu for
_Metro…In Dino_ because of the stress-free atmosphere. This what Basu mentioned in his interview with Firstpost, “I want my actors to be very happy on the set and know their character well. I don’t give too much information to them before the shoot begins. Let them discover their roles and this is the method I have been following since ages.”

Konkona Sen Sharma mentioned in an interview with Firstpost, “I think working with Anurag is effortless only. And I would say that most of his actors would probably feel like this, at least on this film. Anurag has a very easy-going kind of a quality. He’s a lovely human being. His sets are often quite stress-free and it’s easy to work with him. His energy and vibe is so easy and relaxed that I think that the whole set is like that. So that’s actually lovely because I really feel that that’s a great way to bring out the best in everyone.”

Anurag Basu, with his musical film, gives storytelling a totally new magic that we all were yearning for. Set in five cities, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Poona and Bangalore dealing with the lives of urban couples, each and every role with each stage, with its difficulties and complexities, is handled beautifully. It is a movie that you must go to if you wish to have a good time with friends and family. There are two mismatched couples who are trying hard to understand each other and also, at the same time, trying to figure out if they are made for each other at all or not. Keeping in mind what Bollywood is feeding us on week after week, this film by Basu is definitely makes us believe that fine storytelling is here to stay whether it is in cinema halls or on OTT
